Joining us in Caroline Bay & Hanmer Springs, 1919 Distilling

is a handcrafted Gin & Whisky Distillery based in Auckland.

They choose to use the best ingredients available, rather than cut corners; lemons and oranges grown in New Zealand, hand picked cherries from Otago and sustainably sourced honey. Their goal is to not only use the best ingredients, but to help grow New Zealand business along the way.

We brew for the adventurous. A constantly changing array of craft beers that reflect everything from the seasons to the in fashion. Our core range is influenced by our environment and locality. We strive to use local ingredients wherever possible and have our own exclusive hop farm to combine with juicy NZ malts.



The story of Broken Heart begins with two Germans living in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. They formed their friendship around a still and a passion for perfecting spirits of rare complexity and fine flavours.

But life is no straight line. Bernd fell gravely ill, fought bravely, then sadly died. As Joerg travelled down the healing road, he realised that as much as a broken heart hurts, it’s also a space to be filled with new beginnings. And so he decided to share the superb gin with the world and to call it Broken Heart for him.


Two mates, who decided to give brewing a shot.

After a few years Beekeeping, Wilbur stumbled across the idea of brewing Mead. After sitting on the idea for a while, he tapped his mate Edward on the shoulder and soon the idea became a hobby. 

Initially brewing ‘Traditional Mead’ (a high alcoholic strength, wine style mead) using Manuka honey we realised that there is a reason mead’s ancient popularity has remained in the past - and we were forced to think about how to bring mead into the modern day. This resulted in our mead being anything but traditional. We have focused on modernising the historic drink, while putting a distinctive Kiwi twist on it using epic native New Zealand honeys.

We brew small batches of beer because that’s what we love to brew. Some call it passion. We call it the desire to share what’s in our hearts. Concept Brewing evolved because our brewer wanted to share with his friends the beers he loves to create.

The home of "Ginger Beer" crafted by a couple of mates in the Deep South.

In 2017 these two odd balls, united by alcohol, competition, and creativity, convinced each other that it was a totally intelligent idea to brew a 4% alcoholic ginger beer, called Ginger Bear, with no previous experience, or money, and still working a full-time job. The Crimson Badger Brewing Company was created.


Eagle Brewing is a Christchurch based craft beer producer. Over the last seven years they have grown into a nationally recognised brand with their multi award winning champion brews being served up in bars, restaurants and cafes across New Zealand.



Emporium Brewing is based in Kaikoura but started back in 2015 in Christchurch. Back then they contract brewed beers at the Twisted Hop but now have their own space and their 600L kit works hard to keep up with demand!


Esses Wine Company is a boutique vineyard situated in the picturesque landscape of Kaikōura. The vineyard is covered by a Spectacular Sky, framed by Snow-capped Summits, overlooks a Stunning Sea, is grounded by Stoney Soil, and is an oasis of Serenity for its owners and visitors.
Esses wines capture the essence of the estate and its awe-inspiring environment, all starting with the letter “S”. Esses specialise in Méthode Traditionelle, the French-inspired sparkling wine.

If we told you that Good George was the best thing to come out of Hamilton, you’d probably think for a minute then make a joke about how we don’t have much competition. That’s okay, we can handle it, we don’t take life too seriously. We’re serious about brewing though.

Good George came to life after a bunch of friends got together and decided, after years in hospitality and brewing, it was time to create their own craft beer brand. Their main motivation was to show people what great beer can be, convert drinkers from the norm and show them how to enjoy fantastic beer. 

Exploring and drinking beer should be enjoyable, simple and really rewarding. 


Hanmer Springs Wines is a family owned, organic vineyard located on the North-facing hills of the Hanmer Basin. Making fresh, delicious, natural wines from grapes grown in a beautiful alpine environment. 

They use various maturation vessels such as ceramic eggs, stainless steel and aged oak barrels. Their wine is not fined with chemicals or filtered, instead it’s allowed to settle naturally.

Created in honour of Reefton legend Little Biddy, a pipe-smoking, gin-toting, 4 foot tall goldminer. Our search for native botanicals takes us deep into the same West Coast rainforest where Biddy once fossicked for gold, to craft a uniquely New Zealand gin with a pioneer’s attitude.


In 2012 two friends, Matt & Luke, dreamt up an alcoholic beverage focused more on how you feel the next day, than how quickly you felt the alcohol. Like all good ideas formed over a beverage with a mate, it was parked for six years…

In 2018 with the rise of hard seltzers in the United States that focused on a ‘better alcohol option’ the old recipe was dusted off and put to the test on family and friends… they were onto something!

After tasting hundreds of fruit profiles (including the now famous Lemon & Yuzu) and blending this with a neutral alcohol base, Aotearoa’s first hard sparkling was born.



Parrotdog was conceived in 2011 out of a love for good beer by three guys called Matt. From our new brewery in Lyall Bay, we’re continuing to do what we started back in 2011: making approachable, award winning beer.

Quality and simplicity form the basis for our mantra in keeping things uncomplicated. Our range is a diverse cast of characters, with something to suit every one of you, and everyone of us. Nice.


Rifters was started by a couple of kiwi builders who are pretty fond of gin. One day in the workshop, they decided they might have a nudge at creating their own. A couple of years later and a whole lot of trial, they figured things out.

Rifters is a small batch boutique gin. Handcrafted in New Zealand using flavourful botanicals and pure New Zealand artesian water. Made to be enjoyed in good company.

Round Theory has been consciously crafted from the ground up with a simple goal in mind, to make great wines that have a positive impact on the planet.

Our wine is sustainably grown and sourced, and our unique lightweight packaging reduces its environmental impact. Round Theory is also climate positive and aims to offset 2x the amount of carbon used. Every element of our product has been carefully considered to ensure that we are not just good wine, but wine for good.


We are a boutique family run craft cidery and orchard in the idyllic Horotane Valley, a unique microclimate at the foot of Christchurch’s beautiful Port Hills. We grow apples, press, ferment, bottle, label and keg all on site in our cidery. From there it is on its way to be sold to you the lovers of cider.

We use Canterbury malts and NZ hops for the majority of our beers ... only straying to the american hops for specific beers ;-)

All our beers are small batch brewed, unfiltered and have no additives, to show off the wonderful flavours and aromas of the malts and hops. Brewed with the fantastic pure Canterbury water.

Waipara Springs, the founding winery and café of the Waipara Region, was established in 1981 and remains an entirely owned and operated Family Estate. Located 40 minutes north of Christchurch, Waipara Springs provides a truly authentic estate and dining experience.

Planted in the early 1980’s the vineyard contains some of the oldest vines in the valley providing the entirely estate grown wines with a depth and intensity that only old vines can produce.

The vineyard of 26 hectares is planted with Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir and Merlot with the wines crafted in two differing styles, the fresh fruit driven wines under the Waipara Springs label and the structurally driven wines of the Premo label.
